[IN CASE YOU MISSED IT] The Hawks in Mpumalanga are looking for about 20 suspects who made away with an undisclosed amount of cash as well as firearms during a cash in transit heists yesterday afternoon in the Mhala area in Bushbuckridge.
The Hawks say an escourt vehicle of Fidelity Security Company was attacked by suspects who were driving in two VW polos that are white and silver in color. They shot and injured the driver of the escourt vehicle and took away two rifles.
The suspects who were all wearing balaclavas, gloves and bullet proof vests then shot at the cash van, forced the driver and the crew out of the vehicle and pushed them into the bushes and also robbing them of their firearms.
They then blew the armoured vehicle twice with explosives and looted cash and fled the scene in the direction of Dwarsloop.
