LOCAL NEWS | A BURNT BODY OF AN UNKNOWN WOMAN DISCOVERED IN PHALABORWA

The Police in Phalaborwa are investigating a case of murder, after a burnt body of an unknown woman was discovered on Saturday, 22 June 2024, at about 17h30 along a gravel road next to a Heavy Industrial Area under Mopani District.
According to information, the police were summoned to a murder scene and upon arrival, they found the burnt body of a woman lying on the gravel road.
"Emergency Medical Services personnel were summoned, and on arrival, the victim was certified dead on the scene.
"Police opened a case murder and her identity is currently unknown.
"Circumstances surrounding the incident are still under police investigations. A manhunt for the suspect involved is underway.
"Police appeal to anyone with information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspects involved to urgently contact the Investigating Officer Sergeant Refiloe Mashale on 082319 9739 or crime stop number on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station or use MySAPSApp.
"Police investigations are continuing", said Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.
