Limpopo Police Spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says that a 56-year-old security official who allegedly shot and injured a suspect who was found in the process of burglary at Ernest Matlou Primary School in Bloodriver has been charged with attempted murder.
The shooting incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday, 02 July 2024 at about 02h00am.
Spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba reveals that the other suspect fled the scene, and one suspect was caught, but he resisted arrest and attacked the security officer where he was ended up shot twice on the leg.
Malesela Ledwaba says that the 35-year-old male suspect is currently receiving medical treatment under police guard.
He says that the police are conducting a thorough investigation into this matter to establish the facts surrounding the incident.
The burglary suspect will soon appear before Seshego Magistrate's Court.
