Limpopo Police are on manhunt following the discovery of the mutilated body along R37 near a fuel Station in Burgesfort policing area on Saturday, 08 June 2024 at about 13:30.
According to information received, the Police were alerted to the incident and upon arrival with the Emergency Medical Services personnel, they found a male victim , lying naked on the ground with multiple injuries on the face and lower body. Some of his body parts were missing.
Limpopo Police Spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says that the reports suggest that the deceased was staying with his nephew and apparently the nephew last saw his uncle on Friday, 07 June 2024 at around 14:00 when he indicated that he was going to visit his girlfriend unknown to the nephew.
Malesela Ledwaba says that he was certified dead on the scene and his identity is withheld pending further Police investigations.
The motive behind the incident is currently unknown.
