Soweto police in Moroka are calling upon anyone with information following the brutal murder of a man in Molapo at the weekend.
The police were assigned to the crime scene where the deceased was shot multiple times by unknown armed suspects.
A passer-by informed the police of a body of an unknown male that was lying in a pool of blood motionless.
On arrival, the police found 15 empty cartridges at the scene.
Police spokesperson Vusi Thokwan says all emergency units were contacted; paramedics arrived at the scene and declared the man as deceased.
“Through preliminary investigation, it was discovered that the male suffered from multiple gunshot wounds on his body. The male was later identified and the family was notified,” said Thokwan.
Thokwan says the motive of the brutal murder at this point is unknown and the police are following possible leads to effect an arrest
“We also plead with the community that anyone with valuable information that may assist with the investigation to contact Moroka saps or send a tip off on our crime stop line on 086 001 011,” he said.-#JoziFmNews
