The South African Police Services Gauteng Water Policing and Diving members were deployed to an incident at Orlando Dam next to the Soweto Towers in Orlando East.

Members responded to the scene and on arrival a decomposed body was floating in the dam. 

The body of an unknown male victim was recovered. 

Police spokesperson Raymond Sambo says foul-play is suspected and investigation continues, the age of the deceased is between the age of thirty eight (38) and forty two (42) years old.

“An inquest docket was opened at Orlando SAPS and is currently under investigations. Individuals with information regarding the incident are encourage to contact the relevant SAPS station or crime Stop at 08600 10111,”said Sambo.-#JoziFmNews
