A 29-year-old Limpopo man who stoned her bany mama to death convicted and sentenced as murder, 1 life imprisonment in Limpopo ( Giyani).
According to Limpopo Police Spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, the court heard that on the early hour of Saturday 08 April 2023, the victim was with two people, her cousin and a friend, walking from a nearby tavern when the suspect, who was the father of her child, accosted her.
Spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba says that the two had an argument in which the suspect assaulted the victim.
Malesela Ledwaba says that
A friend ran to the victim's residence to report the incident and left the cousin with them at the scene. When the friend came back with the brother, they found the victim in a critical condition.
Ledwaba says that he was taken to the nearest hospital for medical attention, where she succumbed to her injuries.
