The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) has issued a statement that it had received a complaint that a vagrant lion has been spotted in the Ndumbeni Section in Matsulu. 

The MTPA’s spokesperson, Simphiwe Shungube, said the public is cautioned to stay alert and not to attempt to catch or kill the lion. 

The Damage-causing Animals Unit has been dispatched to set up a cage with bait in an attempt to catch the lion.
